With Australia's economy being at such a high there are down issues. Interest rates start at 7% approx, which means there is less borrowing, there is also a few articals advising that the banks are starting to go back to the 25% down deposit, which again is hitting the higher priced homes and turning peoples attention to more home improvement and renovations than buying a new home.

However the great news for those with some cash saved up is, BUY BUY BUY. With prices down you can negotiate with the builders and get lots more value for your dollar. There is always a winning side to any situation, yuo get a good price on your newly renovated homes and the builder gets work. Some middle non exclusive home builders have in fact recorded highest volumes of sales since the 2007 high record of lending.
